How your data is protected

Your password vault is protected using end-to-end encryption. Your vault is encrypted before it leaves your device, and only you or authorized family members can unlock it.

What QuietKite can and cannot access

We cannot access:

  • Your stored passwords
  • Secure notes
  • Autofill data
  • Vault contents

This is because your vault is encrypted using your master password, which QuietKite does not store.

Limited account data we store:

  • Account email address
  • Subscription status
  • Encrypted vault data

Family-focused features

  • Shared family vaults
  • Emergency access options
  • Parent-managed accounts

Data retention

Encrypted vault data is deleted when an account is closed. QuietKite does not retain decrypted password data.

Important security note

If you forget your master password, QuietKite cannot recover your vault contents. This is part of the zero-knowledge security design.
